@bchydro: Yesterday, our President and CEO Charlotte Mitha joined Premier David Eby, Gregor Robertson, federal Minister of Housing and Infrastructure and Minister responsible for Pacific Economic Development Canada, Tim Hodgson, federal Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Canada, and Chief Logan of Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, to announce that construction is underway on the North Coast Transmission Line. This major infrastructure project will help meet growing demand for clean electricity while supporting economic development across the North Coast. Once complete, the project is expected to create approximately 9,700 direct full-time jobs, employ up to 1,400 workers during peak construction, contribute nearly $10 billion annually to B.C.'s economy and generate approximately $950 million in provincial and municipal revenue each year. #bc #britishcolumbia #electricity #energy #electrification
