@ocdbrian: Harm OCD is not being careful with knives. It is standing in your own kitchen, holding a thought you would never act on, and being completely unable to prove that to yourself. Here is the part nobody tells you. Putting the knife away works. For about four seconds. Then your brain asks how quickly you could get it back out, and you cannot prove the answer, so you go back and make it harder. Then harder again. I was drying dishes. I ended up on the floor guarding a drawer. If your brain does this to you, it is treatable, and I really wish I had believed that sooner. I keep recommending Choiceful because the course is built 100% around your specific theme instead of generic anxiety tips, and the 24/7 therapy chat is there for the nights the doubt will not close. Users see clinically significant improvement in OCD symptoms. #ocd #obsessivecompulsivedisorder #ocdawareness #ocdrecovery #MentalHealth #mentalillness #anxiety
