Honestly, Dray with all due respect, I think mature women often have a different mindset. I call it taking care of yourself, not trying to look fake. I’ve done my own nails since I was 18, and it’s part of my self-care. Some women do lashes too—if done naturally, why not? And yes, men DO notice. My partner always notices when I change my nail color and compliments them. So I don’t agree that guys don’t care. They notice when a woman takes care of herself. If it becomes excessive or too fake, that’s a different story.

bc of a system that men has designed. psychologically people are more inclined to respect people that they deem as attractive. (the halo effect) why do you cut your hair, trim your nails, strive to wear nice clothes? to keep up your appearance. most people do it in some sort of way. it’s not a difficult concept to grasp.

Sir, nothing is wrong. For the girlies …It’s called ✨ self care ✨ some of us do self care by taking care of our skin, hair , nails… etc. some are minimalist and that’s ok!

Why do you assume there is something wrong with us? That's like asking what's wrong with steak bc you want to add au poivre to it. People are happy with steak but sometimes they want to add au poivre or compound butter or a blue cheese cap or lobster. You don't go table to table asking what's wrong with them for adding to their steak do you?

many women in prison go through great lengths to create their own makeup from commissary items, food & paper products because of strict bans & limited access to actual makeup & there are no men really to 'impress'. many women do this because it's fun, a hobby, etc. it can be a form of creativity and self expression. just like when people get ear piercings or tattoos. because we like it

My hair is natural. no eyelashes. get my nails done but they are mine. I am happy with me 🥰 I am a 64yr old lady. I love tattoos as well. if a man likes it okay if not i am okay with that.
