just started as a tech a mnt ago! I get to fill medications but we dont compound. I got the " why cant u fill my narcotics a week early" " the text said my medications were ready" " let me talk to ur manager" part of pharmacy 😭😭😭

I will say I do wish you’d disclose that this isn’t what all pharmacy techs do. I was a pharmacy tech for 2 years but at a non compounding pharmacy in a state with strict laws, and we couldn’t even mix the water into children’s antibiotics. Which is fine, but if it had been like this I might’ve stayed longer. Instead I was frequently belittled and called a glorified cashier EVEN BY MY PHARMACISTS and told my job was to check people out and it was beneath them. There’s good and bad sides to this job and it was amazing at times and I do not regret it but it certainly wasn’t this. 💔

In what state are you compounding? When I worked in a compounding pharmacy, we were bunny suited up, hair pulled back, hairnet on, booties over our shoes, N95’s, etc.
