@137ewes: 🖼️ 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐏𝐈𝐄𝐂𝐄 - a special animation from 137Ewes. To you, who have worked so hard. 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆! At #Baapolis, golden bouncy wool is the ultimate dream of every sheep. With their curly strong wool, they can dye and weave all sorts of exquisite tapestries. Tapestries are traded everywhere on Meadow Earth and beyond. Pigs and hogs use weaved wool for their window curtains, and stack even more of it on their beds. Cats want pure original fluffy wool quilted into a cozy bed. Bulls and cows wear long spine tapestries, draped neck to tail, proudly on their days of ceremonies to celebrate their famous wines, beers, cheeses. Even the orangutans of Oceania drape beautifully weaved images over their heads to get some shade from the tropical sun. No wonder General Iris is always so uptight about which group of ewes to marry into Baapolis. She wants TALENT. She wants a #MASTERPIECE. But sometimes she doesn’t know what talent really means. Until one late summer day, three flights up a loom, one lone weaver is deep in her work. 𝘞𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨. A bee buzzes in, dives at her ear — 𝙋𝙐𝙃𝙃𝙋𝙃𝙃𝙃 — That’s it. War is declared. She chases it with her tool, back and forth, through her own canvas, and topples clean off her stool onto the sheep below. General Iris hears the crash from across the hall, drops her tea, mid-sip, and runs. Not to help. She stops in front of the loom. Tea forgotten. Sheep forgotten. There it is. Grapes, but not the grapes have ever been woven before, not flat and obedient on the vine, but a zigzag, alive, tumbling, almost drunk on their own weight. General Iris pulls both ewes into one enormous TIGHT squeeze. Talent. Finally. An ewe just had to fall for it first. & for you the human in this era, still living, breathing: we cherish your work, especially when labored with your own hands. We love your humanly craft. Keep going. Keep celebrating.
