@bignastycakes: You put the cake back. Why? You didn’t do that because of the price. You did that because you’ve trained yourself to want the cheaper version — even when you know the one you really want. Today, you get to choose the cake. #BigNastyCakes #SanAntonio #TreatYourself #YouDeserveNiceThings #SmallBusinessOwner
With all due respect, you need some media training. Take this down , move on, and start building trust with consumers. If a multitude is telling you revisit your pricing, then maybe look at it. Or if you want a higher spending clientele build your brand to attract them. Don’t tear down the everyday consumer

Respectfully girl, I don’t think you realize the stain you’re putting on your dad’s business…I’m an SA resident, been to Mark’s Outing many times and I’ve had plenty of your cakes before you started social media “marketing.” You genuinely did not need to do any of this 💀 Let nepotism work for you; you literally just had an order for the Spurs. Your dad’s restaurant has over 20K followers on Instagram. There are so many other ways you could’ve gone about promoting your business. I mean this with all due respect: never once have I thought twice about visiting Mark’s, but after this I definitely will.

At $8 a slice, customers rightfully expect top-tier, completely scratch-made ingredients—like authentic farm-fresh fruit and pure vanilla extract—to validate the premium price. Relying on inexpensive box mixes while charging high rates can erode consumer trust, as the quality of goods and labor should reflect the cost. Incorporating specialty vanilla beans from Madagascar, using imported ingredients, making your own butter, growing your own fruit for purées, or even raising chickens for fresh eggs in your cakes are all practices that can support such a price point. Are you implementing any of these approaches in your offerings?

Pink Cake the same size as yours are 1.29 in Small Bakeries around San Antonio. HEB also sells the same size cake slices for 4.98… Not trying to be smartass or anything at all! It’s just the first thing that popped up in my head when I saw your other video.
