@immigration_queen: USCIS has clarified the timeline for the new Form I-864. If USCIS receives your application BEFORE October 1, 2026, you can still use the previous version of Form I-864. That means there is still time but the date USCIS RECEIVES your application matters. The new I-864 includes authorization related to obtaining consumer credit information for sponsors and joint sponsors. If you are filing now, make sure you are using the correct version of the form for your filing date and that your application is properly delivered and documented. Immigration rules are changing quickly. Share this with someone preparing a green card application right now. #creatorsearchinsights #greencard #uscis #breaking

Hi! Quick question: I’m in Mexico putting together my physical package for Ciudad Juarez since CEAC is closed for uploads. I have the I-864 signed on August 20th with the previous edition (10/17/24), but my joint sponsor lives far away in Florida, making logistics difficult. Since the official notice gives a grace period until September 30th and I'm sending my package on September 8th, do you recommend I send the August 20th one, or is it worth fighting to get a new signature from a distance? What would you do in my spot?
