dinosaurs aren’t mammals. the examples you’ve put are mammalian animals which have more fat and fur than reptiles. paleontologists now add more fat and skin flaps on dinosaurs in modern reconstructions, but they still remain relatively similar to the skeleton because if you take a look at reptile skeletons you’ll find that they’re pretty similar. T. rex didn’t have feathers as there’s no proof of such and it’d be like sticking a heavy coat on an elephant.

Omfg not this again. . Please look at how paleontologists recreate anything other than Dinosaurs, you'll see that they're recreated just fine. We haven't shrink-wrapped anything for a century. . That "exercise" was by C.M Koseman. They did exactly what you said to critique amateur recreations of prehistoric animals, it was not a real exercise. You can find out much more about an animal from bones, like where exactly muscle fibers or feathers would attach too. . Why Dinosaurs don't look like that is because they're reptiles. Reptiles have very little amounts of fat, and don't need an excessive amount of feathers.

Reptile skulls are more straight forward compared to mammalian skulls, which are more complex, dinosaurs look more like their skulls then that of mammals, also you're showing shrink wrapped mammals, dinosaur reconstruction have more meat on their bones nowadays, and are more accurate than what you realize.
