Rug looks great! But in a better place it would look better. It’s giving plank on plank. It’s the shapes and geometry that are throwing me off personally.

I didn’t think I would like it, but Robbie nailed it with tying it in with the bathroom tile! The rug definitely needs to be larger though.

I see the vision! I like what I see except for one thing. I’d slide the rug further up under the bed. Just enough so both of your feet are on the rug when getting up.
