Put a soaking wet paper towel next to the onions when you cut them!! It helps it not burn your eyes!!

I make something similar, but I dont use the onion, I just use 2 cans of french onion soup and the Lipton Onion soup mix. I add Swiss cheese though. Then top it with the crispy onions. So good!

Oh, you would totally benefit from a star onion chopper. It's roughly 10 bucks and you throw your onion inside it and pull the cord. it slices and dices and minces depending on how many times you pull the cord. It is magical. 🧅
