Theres no math going on here beyond calc 2. If you can read an integral, everything on the page is relatively straightforward. It just looks like 20% more complicated than it is because they write out a lot of steps that practically you would breeze through, unless you were explicitly fishing for partial credit on an exam.

I can tell you this... there's no way a college professor is gonna give you this problem in school. And if they did, you can be assured that that mf has been redoing this problem at least twice a year for the last 10 years. Of course they know the answer.
