I’m the wrong audience for this question. I usually do 3-4 week long vacations and don’t count weekend getaways. We have 2 healthy incomes and it’s how I use my disposable money. I’ve been to 14 Caribbean islands, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico since June of 2021 when I started traveling.

If they’re Europeans they were doing it right!! 😂 Our school has soooo many breaks! We usually take a big family trip and then 1-2 small ones, and one with just mom and dad. Sometimes I’ll travel with my hubs for work throughout the year once or twice when he’s in a cool city, but that doesn’t count! Ha

I run, so all mine are race vacations (running all 50 states). I've gone on.. 5 so far (flew 4 of them) and have 3 more (2 flying to).

I take 2-3 1 week long vacations a year and 2-3 weekend trips . I spend about 15k per year on those vacations .

Go to the airport on a random Tuesday and you will see the airport is full and the flights are full , a Hampton Inn is 200.00 plus a night , and news media media favorite phrase is “everything is unaffordable “ if that was true all these people wouldn’t be traveling.

1 big trip (7-10 days), a couple medium 4-6 days, and 6+ weekend getaways (2-3 days). The weekend getaways are typically just driving a couple hours vs medium and big require flights. I work in education, though, so have the privilege of multiple months off a year.

think it depends on if you have kids at home or not. now thst kids are grown and out the housei take 4, when kids where home 1 maybe sometimes none b.c. kids took up all the time and money

Probably 6-8, but most are long weekends (like 4-5 days). Me and my husband have very flexible jobs and also a lot is free with credit card points!

Prior to retirement, my wife and I took a week long vacation to Mexico every other year. Once our kids were in college, it was every year. Now, we’re retired and go twice a year. When the kids were younger, I would have said “Vacation? You mean the trips to the grandparents house?”
