First burn in 08 was amazing. 2nd burn in 2010 I got separated from my group and trafficked to a cult commune that had been picking up women from the burn for years… isolating them and forcing them into marriage. Got rescued by my friends after I finally found where the people hid my phone, figured out enough information so my friends could find the house I was at and the peoples schedule enough for my friends to come get me without people noticing. If you go, always ALWAYs walk/drive with another person you know well… and don’t trust anyone who says they will drop you off to meet up with your friends. The people who are overly friendly usually have nefarious intentions

If burning man is truly all about the art, as many claim, then they would find a way to show the art to people who don’t or can’t go to the event. It appears to be more about, doing whatever you want, whenever you want and however you want, conventional conduct be damned. While, that might seem attractive, it also invites bad behavior and bad actors.
