Cp4s on fords are for some reason absolutely horrible, I’ve seen well over 100 fords in the shop for a blown cp4 in the span of 2 years and I’ve only MAYBE 2 lml’s in the shop for the same issue

I wouldn’t go as far as to say cp4 good but I was definetly happy with mine it did just fine but to get over 5-550 you need to go cp3

Looking at buying a 2016 lml but am absolutely terrified I had a 2008 lml duramax snap a crank at 128k miles is he’s on a stock engine ? How can I make it so that I never have to worry about breaking a crank in it ?

So I shouldn’t spend 5k and cp3 swap? 200k original cp4 always use additive

No matter what a CP4is a CPr four they will blow up at 70,000 or 400,000 it does not matter. They will blow up whenever they choose to. It’s just a matter of when they’re just a sitting hand grenade.

Cp4 is a Cp4 bubba, so it’s gotta go - you just got lucky on how many miles you got out of it and you know that😂
