~BOOK REVIEW📚✨~ I genuinely don’t know how to talk about “The Love We Choose” by @Juliet Ameh without giving too much away because WOW!…kudos to the author. You really did your thing with this book! 👏🏽❤️ The Love We Choose is an emotional story centred around love, difficult choices, sacrifice, family expectations, womanhood, and the consequences of our choices. Ivie is caught between her ex-fiancé, Nosa, and her present fiancé, Nathan. And she’s left with a difficult question: “Do you choose the person who gives you peace and comfort, or the person you love?” And honestly…WHAT A QUESTION😭 What I loved most was how human and relatable the characters felt. Nobody was simply good or bad. Their choices and mistakes constantly had me questioning who I was rooting for. Ivie: GIRLLLL😭…There were so many times I wanted to enter the book and smack her. The choices she made had me screaming, but I also felt so much pity for her because she was dealing with A LOT. Nosa: NOSAAAAAA!!! 😭 Let me just keep quiet. I was rooting for this man to get his act together, but somehow he kept doing the opposite😂..And honestly, this book reminded me that love isn’t always enough. Sometimes you can love someone deeply and still not be right for each other. Nathan: I genuinely felt bad for him. But don’t come for me ooo 😂…if Nathan hadn’t done what he did, things probably would have gone so well. Abi, you people don’t consider him a villain too? 👀 I also loved the family dynamics, especially Ivie’s mum. She frustrated me, but I eventually understood that she genuinely wanted the best for her daughter. And some mothers-in-law? A MATCH MADE FROM HELL😭😂..As you people are looking for husbands, pray for good mothers-in-law too ooo. E get why! This book was such a rollercoaster of emotions. I cried, ranted in my friends’ DMs 😂, got angry at the characters, and still couldn’t put the book down. And that ending? I DID NOT SEE IT COMING😭 The Love We Choose is more than a romance; it’s a story about love, choices, sacrifice, and choosing the life you want. If you love African romance, complicated relationships, emotional drama and stories that stay with you after you’ve finished reading, you NEED to pick this one up. I highly recommend 100/10!!!…And omg, I genuinely haven’t read a single book from @T&W_Pub that wasn’t good.
