Bowl-A-Peas :

I was looking for a job until I found a job, and heaven knows I’m miserable now

samlthecaml :

just started option one. it WILL be different this time around

Skizo :

if you freaking out, relax. just get any kind underemployed job to pay bills and just keep on applying for jobs, you’ll get there :)

Elias Staehle :

Genuinely no joke if you have a degree, you’re not fat, you have no felonies. Look into commissioning into the military as an officer. Starting pay is 4k a month you can get a security clearance for free. You can go in as cyber get experienced get your masters for free and if you do 20 you get life pension

gaisonbundaroo :

Option 3 is the only reasonable one

Tyler :

Option 3 resonated deeply with me.

tanner 💫 :

just work in IT or cybersecurity, another option is IAM engineering, salaries can go up to be just ab on par with swe

n9_officer_k :

3rd one is my only option

lod dol :

L :

Switch to nursing lol

chluw :

option 67 ask if anyone can refer u in league of legends all chat

Brendan Geary :

For some actual advice, try a QA position first rather than applying out the gate for development positions. From a QA perspective you'll learn more about the SDLC at that specific company, the SW you'll be developing, and how to properly debug said SW ahead of ever merging code. Then after year or 2 keep your eyes peeled for any internal job postings or coordinate with your boss to transfer to the development side.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) :

Option 4: move to SF and still be unemployed

Iyvl :

Ive been living option 2 and 3 for the last 3 years. They go hand in hand

Peepo :

I was gonna become pro esport player during hs. Made a huge mistake taking CS and be unemployed lmaooo

suhanirana04 :

bobchen823 :

option 4 is not bad.

Kodoka :

Graduating this December. 😁 I want to do option 3, but my wife would be upset.

antonio :

its really not that bad, just pivot to IT for a while while working on swe skills and keep applying. CS is still a valuable degree theres no need to be unemployed

Andrez Delatorre :
