I always thought the NESC required comm to be 40" below the neutral on every pole, and minimum 30" clearance midspan? at least that what they make us do hear in the Northeast.

zipties cant be used as support, zipties cannot be cut unless cut flush, otherwise it is a safety violation.

P hook? J hook? Lol, I don’t know why this newer generation calls these hooks by letters. They are drive hooks. They’re driven into the pole. No offense, just saying

You know how many times I have to use a grinder to cut away a drive hook because we don’t get sent out to fix our stuff and power guys just hammer it up ? It’s mad annoying lmaoo

P hooks are to be used on the house only. Needs J hook. AND mid span clamp is only for connecting on adjacent runs. That will slide down the strand overtime, dropping the mid span lower as it slides. AND those are not “hot gloves” 😑

I wish they would do pole inspection in my city. No one follows the rules especially Verizon.

That should be a J-hook, not a drive ring, they aren’t rated for weight. JS
