Two trips. Same Walmart. Same week. Every clip in this video came from just those two visits, and these aren’t even all of the dogs I saw. My priority is always keeping my service dog safe, not pulling out my camera, so many incidents never even make it on video. That alone should be alarming. Many of these dogs were visibly stressed. Several were riding in shopping carts, which violates FDA food safety rules. None of the dogs shown were service animals, meaning they legally should not have been inside Walmart. The problem isn’t just entitled pet owners who think the rules don’t apply to them. It’s also a lack of enforcement. Businesses have the legal right to ask the two ADA service animal questions, yet so many refuse because they’re afraid of confrontation or being sued. Here’s the reality: legitimate service dog handlers are rarely offended by those questions. Most of us are relieved when a business actually knows the law because it shows they’re trying to protect disabled customers, the public, and legitimate service dogs. Instead, Walmart has created an environment where people know they can bring pets into a non-pet-friendly store with little to no consequence. That puts service dogs at risk, puts customers at risk, ignores FDA health codes, and creates unnecessary stress for pets that often don’t want to be there in the first place. Walmart needs to start exercising its legal right to ask the two ADA questions and remove pets that do not belong in the store. Until that happens, this cycle will continue. We do not condone harassment of employees or pet owners. The goal is education, accountability, and proper enforcement of existing laws and policies. #servicedogs #viral #fyp #walmart #fakeservicedog
