@salcedopostwethe_his_him: Netflix's 'Death of a Pastor's Wife' leaves out some of the case's most disturbing details. A lawsuit filed in February 2025 alleges that John-Paul Miller sexually abused a 15-year-old girl in 1998, at a time when he was serving as a 19-year-old youth church leader. He countersued that same woman for libel in March 2025, claiming her allegations are false. Both suits remain ongoing. And that's not all. The docuseries also omits a 1998 assault and battery conviction from when John-Paul was a teenager. He struck a woman with his truck and drove nearly 100 yards with her on the hood, per The Post and Courier. He pleaded guilty, then received a pardon in 2022 from the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services. His first wife's story is another gap. Alison "Ali" Williams spent 16 years married to him and never sat down for an interview with the series. In an affidavit played on the Crime Junkie podcast, she said Mica's account of the marriage lined up with her own experiences: "many of the details shared with me, by Mica, are so similar to my own experiences with J.P. that I know she was being truthful." John-Paul Miller is currently awaiting trial on charges of cyberstalking Mica before her death and lying to federal investigators about it. He has pleaded not guilty. #micaMiller #jpmiller #salcedopostwet #foryou #soulsaidpost
