I believe it. When I was doing my family tree I came across an archive document with sworn testimony that a mermaid had washed up on the beach in 1750. It happened to be the beach where my great great grandparents lived on a remote island. I traced the documents through the castle archives and the castle copies were blurred out, it appears they missed this document. I’m sure there are more things like this hidden away if we look hard enough
