Y'all saying "she slaughtered those kids" like she brought a knife to them and stabbed them 20 times. Dementia is a crazy and unforgivable disease, everyone needs some sort of consequences because why are we sending the kids back before getting grandma evaluated first?? screw the therapist listen to your gut and the signs. Also what happened to the first kid if anyone knows?

I was telling my grandma about this yesterday it was two unrelated incidents and the grandma only got a chance to babysit again bc the moms therapist told her letting her watch the baby for a few hours would help her to move on and she killed the second one the very first time

Because of this case, we decided to not ignore little red flags in my mother in law. She forgot about bacon in the oven while watching our kid and it resulted in a small grease fire. we decided no more childcare for her after that. Other family members told us we were being overprotective but a few months later she was diagnosed with dementia. Thankful we were fortunate enough to realize and remove ourselves from that risk. I hope these two babies are resting peacefully. This should have never happened.

look up Constance Fisher she was a Maine mom who killed her three kids, went to a psychiatric hospital got out 12 years later had three more kids with her husband the same one as before and then killed the other three. Some people need to be locked up forever I don’t believe in second chances when it comes to kids. Grandma never should have got a second chance.

My grandma had very early onset Alzheimer’s/dementia (as in young for her age) and every time i see this lady I can’t help but wonder if she ended up having something like that, my gma started forgetting bizarre things awhile before she was ever diagnosed. Almost 💀 us bc she turned the wrong way and we were driving in the oncoming traffic lane

Dementia is brutal. Allowing someone with dementia to babysit your child that already made a mistake due to dementia is negligent. I almost blame the mom more than the grandma. You knew she had dementia.
