Seems to me that person stay in his ground because that person knows what is right and what is wrong.

There are three little souls lost. Zero accountability. I'm disgusted.

I feel like it’s excusable for a specific reason. Such as; a viable hormone test could prove elevated or irregular hormone levels as a result of postpartum which would determine if the defense of insanity could be viable. Although, I believe the defense of insanity could only be applied for one homicide within a specific amount of time, as she had a rational thought as well as time between each homicide which would make this apply to one homicide. I haven’t read much about this case, though we’re talking about it in my Gov. n. Law class. If she was not clinically diagnosed with postpartum depression and actively seeking help / prescribed medications for it, I doubt a defense could be applicable for her case, especially because it’s 3 homicides and not a singular or an abuse situation.

Considering the foreperson thought she was not guilty, I’d say they likely don’t know wtf the judges instructions were.
