You say the driver of the truck was 100% at fault, but I would argue that there wouldn't have been a jogger to hit if they hadn't been in the street.

never trust anyone in vehicles. hell I was mad the other day bc all these teens getting out of school were ALL walking in the dead ass middle of the road, I get around them, then not long after someone SPEEDS through in the opposite direction which is exactly what i was worried about

There's a perfect, good sidewalk right there that day could have been jogging on, and then the truck could have been on the side that they're running on in the video. They probably would not have got hitch If they were on the sidewalk, why are runners running in the middle of the road

I feel like the pacer truck probably made things worse. People can get focused on the hazard lights, thinking they need to go around and are too distracted to notice the runners before it’s too late. Not excusing the driver or blaming the runner, but I feel that maybe 2 pacers - one next to and one behind - could have helped?
