@aly_walker22: Meet Rubix (ID: 854297) 🧡Available for adoption at @Arizona Humane Society Rubix (or "my little Rubix Cube" as I called him) is a handsome, sweet, energetic 2 year old and I ADORE him! They said he might be a bit of a handful because he has a lot of energy and can be pretty jumpy so I used the first part of our field trip tiring him out a bit physically (yes, I jogged with him in jeans 🥵) and mentally with some training drills before giving him the biggest challenge of all: seeing if he could embrace boredom and chill while I pretended to work at an outdoor restaurant. Even with the many distractions at that farm restaurant, I’m so pleased to say he passed that test with flying colors! I didn’t even have to ask him to sit, he just laid down and hung out 👏🏾 If you own or have worked with an energetic dog, you know what a big win that is! The next moment I was proud of: While we were cuddling in the car, cooling off a bit, there was a brief moment where it looked like he wanted to nip at my hand (typical puppy behavior). But almost immediately, without any correction from me, he turned to find the plush squeaky toy that I keep in my car and chewed on that instead. I was sooo impressed and proud of him!! All of that goes to show that Rubix is such a great, well behaved boy, he just gets very excited but he’s already learning really well how to channel that I had such a good time with my new best buddy today and he reminded me a lot of my furever bestie, Ross (the field trip pup I came SO close to adopting), soooo someone needs to adopt him ASAP before I have a chance to talk myself into it 😅 k thanks! #humanesociety #phoenix #adoptdontshop #shelterdog #dogsoftiktok
