Kíngotore means something that has its center removed in kikuyu.. like a traditional ring, precisely, it's the description of how the ring was designed "Kungotora" - meaning, remove. Early coin currency had a hollow structure which perfectly resembled something familiar to the Kikuyu... something that has its center removed... hence kingotore.. and the act of removing is ngotora... my Kikuyu people can understand😉
