@rm3mrwxiaen5: I thought he was just low‑energy because of old age. I was wrong. His tartar got so severe it triggered kidney failure. Eating and drinking became painful for him. I didn’t realize how much he was suffering. Until the day I had to let him go. His best friend stayed right by his side, licking his face over and over. He didn’t want to leave him. Neither did I. It was their last moment together in this life. I keep replaying all the warning signs I ignored. Loss of appetite, increased thirst, lethargy. All those days he stopped playing.
