add no ice and then ask for a cup of ice on its own. Ido that have a venti drink with no ice and ask for a cup of ice on it's own because of the same reason. It is your drink, and it is not their ingredients so stand your ground

Yeah that’s light ice. Light ice is just the scoop size down. If you ask for extra light ice, you’ll get the amount you’re looking for!

Ask for no ice and get them to give you a separate cup with ice and add it yourself. I don't like a lot of ice either.

That is light ice. No ice on a matcha is going to be all froth because we use a blender to mix it. You won't like it that way. Maybe have a snack and just accept that it's going to have ice

I’ve been told that light ice is no longer allowed as it requires they add more product which you have not paid for. Also told you can ask for light ice and they will say yes, will print it on the ticket but you will be getting the normal amount.

hi! sbux barista here- this definitely is a proper light ice amount. you’re correct, regular ice would be about 2/3 of the way down like you motioned. i would suggest either asking for a specific amount of ice cubes like “can i please only get like 10 ice cubes in my drink” (i know it sounds silly but it will probably work) or ordering your drink with no ice, and getting a cup of ice on the side for you to add in yourself. hope this helps! ☺️
