I agree yet I have a genuine question. What qualifications do men have to know what a wife is? Would you, as a man, equate your potential wife to YOUR mothers?

I learned how to be a husband/partner from my single mom who didn't have one, and seeing men neglect her and mistreat her. It may not have been the traditional method of learning, but observed and saw what was lacking, what she needed, and learned from it. And for that, I'm a better partner because I know what my partner needs and the consequences of them being neglected, and I can care for them better because of those observations and knowledge. The person with the most knowledge isn't always the person who got things right the first time. It can be the person who got things wrong and passed on their knowledge so the next person didn't have to get things wrong.
