@jpc_drones: How do you upload drone footage to Instagram Reels without Instagram absolutely destroying the quality? 😩📱 I get asked this ALL the time, so here are the settings I personally use to keep my drone footage looking as sharp and clean as possible 👇 🎥 Shoot in 4K Always record in the highest quality your drone allows. Start with the best footage possible — you can always reduce it later. ⚡ Export at 30 FPS Instagram recommends a minimum of 30 FPS for Reels, so that’s what I use for my final export. 📐 Export at 1080 × 1920 Yes, even if you filmed in 4K. Instagram compresses your videos when you upload them, so I prefer to export specifically for Reels at 1080 × 1920 (9:16) rather than letting Instagram handle the resizing. 🔥 Use a 30 Mbps bitrate This is what I personally use for my Reels. You don’t necessarily need a crazy-high bitrate — Instagram is going to compress the video anyway. 📲 Turn on “Upload at highest quality” Go to: Instagram → Settings & Privacy → Media Quality → Upload at highest quality ✅ And one more thing… 📱 Upload directly from your phone. I download my finished edit to my phone and upload it through the Instagram app. You can upload from your computer, but I’ve personally found the quality more consistent when uploading from my phone. So my workflow is basically: 🎬 Shoot 4K ➡️ Edit ➡️ 1080 × 1920 ➡️ 30 FPS ➡️ 30 Mbps ➡️ Highest Quality ON ➡️ Upload from phone Because there’s nothing worse than spending hours getting that perfect drone shot… only for Instagram to turn it into a blurry mess. 😂🚁 Save this for your next Reel! 📌
