💍💕BUDGET WEDDING CAKES 🤩💰COSTCO + WALMART + SAM'S CLUB + GROCERY STORE 💝 When Scooter and I were married almost 20 years ago our cake cost $150. back then! Today, the average American wedding cake runs between $300. - $700. 😳 But it doesn't have to! You can get a STUNNING CAKE for less than $70. bucks from some surprising places! Comment and LMK which one is your favorite 🎂 AWARDS: 🏆 Best in show: Sam's Club 🏆 Best Tasting: Costco 🏆 Best Frosting: Ralph's grocery store (owned by Kroger's) 🏆 Best Packaging for transport: Sam's Club & Walmart Tie 🏆Most custom options: Ralph's was very willing to try & duplicate the photo we brought in. NOTES: Ralph's cake tastes white but is a bright yellow color. Ralph's won't do a two-tiered cake, but will make two different layers for you to assemble & did send me home with frosting to make repairs. Costco ONLY HAS ONE SIZE! So not a great option for an actual wedding, but given how delicious their cake is, they are my pick for sheet cakes. Costco's filling was a vanilla cheesecake instead of buttercream (we had ordered buttercream) but still delicious! Sam's Club and Walmart: VERY limited design selection, but they do an outstanding job!! They would have tied for Best in Show, but the Walmart cake reminds me more of a pound cake than a wedding cake in taste and texture. Buy the Sam's Club or Walmart cake for the pix & order sheet cakes from Costco to be cut in the back for guests.
