I am of the opinion that some people just can't think for themselves so they reverberate what everybody says or does. They miss out on the opportunity to find out. The time of ATM machines, I can't count the number of times there'd be a queue on one and the other machine is empty. I walk to that and withdraw then everybody runs there. It's the crowd effect or maybe dependence on social proof. Unfortunately it's worse for ladies, not peculiar to them but usually they fall for it the most especially in key life decisions.
