@iam_amberay: I remember when I had my son, I made one prayer to God: “If I ever have another child, please let it be when I’m financially stable.” 🥹 My son and I had gone through seasons I never wanted another one of my children to experience. So that prayer came from a very deep place in my heart. Years passed. My son grew up, my life changed, and honestly, I had completely forgotten about being a mother to a toddler again. But God hadn’t forgotten. When He decided to bless me with my daughter, He made sure I had everything I had once prayed for. I was stable. I was capable. I was in a position to give her the life I once wished I could have given my son from the very beginning. It was almost as if God was saying, “You asked Me to wait until you were ready. Now you are.” 🥹❤️ And because it happened at the peak of my career, I remember telling God, “Since this pregnancy is on You 😂, please don’t let it slow down my work.” And somehow, that became the easiest pregnancy ever. I worked, travelled, showed up and continued building my career while carrying her. And even after having her, God still answered that prayer. I never had to stop living, stop working, stop travelling or lose myself in motherhood. Somehow, she just fitted beautifully into the life I was already living. She never came to interrupt my life… she came to make it sweeter. 🥹 Now she’s my little bestie. My tiny companion who gets to experience life with me. ❤️ Sometimes I look at her beside me and think, God, You really knew what You were doing. Sometimes God answers prayers so many years later that we don’t even recognize them as answered prayers. I had forgotten what I asked Him for. But He remembered. And every time I look at my daughter, I see proof that God heard the younger version of me who was struggling with her son and quietly asking Him for a different experience next time. He waited until I had everything I prayed for… and then He gave me her. 🥹🤍 God is real.
