I think it’s hard as we get older and our looks fade and we start to feel invisible. At 48, I sometimes look in the mirror and wonder exactly when I got so old! Some of us handle it by leaning in to it, adjusting our style, building our confidence by creating a new version of ourselves in this era of our lives. When we see others do the same, we celebrate them, we’re rooting for them, because we appreciate the journey they’re on. Others are not there yet. They’re still stuck in the ‘I don’t recognise myself’ phase and are struggling to get out.
