From simple fans to air conditioning, ice vests and electrically cooled jackets, technology is being adapted in the struggle against heatstroke. Now Japan has come up with the most obvious product of all: a refrigerator for people.⁠ ⁠ The Do-Hiemon Box is a man-sized steel cubicle on wheels that uses the technology of soft drink vending machines to cool down overheated humans.
