THANK YOU Asthma is never taken seriously, one time I went to the school nurse bc I was struggling to breathe and had chest pain, and he told me that it was just anxiety and that the pain was "in my head" because I don't wheeze (never did) Result: severe asthma and I'm on biologics (it still doesn't work)

It’s never that bad if you have mild asthma. I have it too but it’s never that bad. It gets bad when I’m sick, but the only daily thing I can’t do is run

Well I got diagnosed when I was a baby and had to stay in the hospital for multiple nights I even had to get my tonsils removed so I could breath properly

like it’s not funny. i forgot my inhaler once at my bsf’s quince and the smoke machines had me gasping for my life on my way home. it can kill us, and if you don’t have albuterol? you’re done.

I’ve almost passed away from my asthma several times. I used to be in the hospital every month because of it, doctors would tell my mom she wasn’t giving me the medications they prescribed (which wasn’t true) but they wouldn’t give a referral for a pulmonologist. They actually started to refuse to see me after she asked one time and we had to find all new doctors. People joke about it all the time, people I know who don’t have it will joke about around me knowing it triggers flashbacks for me but because it’s asthma they don’t care.

I have asthma since I was 3 years old. My type is mixed with allergies, but exercise in school became impossible to me. whenever I told I can't exercise bc of it they say I am lucky bd I don't have to. but they weren't the one to fight for their breath and only very strong meds could make my attack stop. now I am able to leave "normal" bc of 15 years of treatment but I feel I am regressing with how many silent attack I gets. its valid its "common" but still people don't understand how it can effect
