ہم اپنے پاس موجود چیزوں کی فہرست بناتے بناتے تھک جاتے ہیں مگر جو نہیں ملا اس کا ایک نام تک بھی دل سے نہیں نکلتا ہمارے پاس چھت ہوتی ہے مگر وہ شخص نہیں ہوتا جس کے ساتھ اس چھت کے نیچے سکون ملے اپنے ہوتے ہیں مگر کوئی ایسا نہیں ہوتا جو خاموشی پڑھ سکے زندگی چل رہی ہوتی ہے مگر دل کسی ایک لمحے میں کہیں رک چکا ہوتا ہے توہمیں لگتا ہے ہم بہت کچھ ہار گئے، پھر کبھی کسی کی زندگی دیکھ کر ہار پھر احساس ہوتا ہے کہ شاید ہم بہت کچھ پا کر بھی ناشکرے ہو گئے تھے کیا عجیب حساب ہے زندگی کاکسی کے پاس محبت ہے تو گھر نہیں، کسی کے پاس گھر ہے تو سکون نہیں کسی کے پاس دولت ہے تو اپنائیت نہیں، کسی کے پاس اپنوں کی بھیڑ ہے تو دل کی بات سننے والا نہیں اور ہم ہم ساری عمر اس چیز کے پیچھے بھاگتے رہتے ہیں ہمارے پاس کیوں نہیں یہاں تک کہ ایک دن آئینے کے سامنے کھڑے ہو کر احساس ہوتا ہے کہ جس زندگی کو ہم معمولی سمجھتے رہے، شاید کوئی دوسرا اس کے لیے دعائیں مانگ رہا تھاشاید زندگی کا سب سے بڑا المیہ یہی ہے کہ انسان محرومی گنتے گنتے نعمتیں گننا بھول جاتا ہے۔ اور شاید سب سے بڑا دکھ یہ نہیں کہ ہمیں سب کچھ نہیں ملا بلکہ یہ ہے کہ جو ملا، ہم اسے بھی اس وقت سمجھ سکے جب وہ صرف ایک خوبصورت یاد بن چکا تھا۔
