I SO agree with most of what you said and I think it's a little sad and kind of selfish that some fans can't see their current distance from the group for what it is: them reclaiming their artistry and agency after years of being so restricted, like you said.

Thanks for doing this. It’s not really about BP and more so how YG fumbles. The girls moved to their own Companies, because YG prolly wasn’t doing much. But that’s what broke them apart, there seems to be no one who kept track of the group and activities. It’s a structure problem, who would’ve thought

tbf part of the reason bp didn't release that much music was part of yg's scarcity strategy .. basically starve fans of content so when bp releases anything at all they go crazy even if it's not that good lolll they probably had an insane investment to profit margin especially since it's only a 4 member group. I wouldn't call it mismanagement either, they were very intentionally managed that way .. and it worked 😭

I definitely agree and they even talked about some of the things in interviewes , jennie literally said that being in k pop restricted so much of her personality and who she is . l really hate that people try to water it down and say they just don't care when in reality why would they serve something that doesn't serve them at all yg mistreated them so much over the years and they did that to all of their groups they want them to be big and profitable but not too big so they can control them .

You mentioned this briefly but I would like to add that they all need to discover and embrace who they are as artists because they weren't given that from under the. I believe that this would influence how the next negotiations would pann out and the authenticity and musicality of whatever we eventually see from them.
