@heyitstessaaaa: You can drive through this state thinking you’re just going somewhere for the day and suddenly you’re passing a house shaped like a giant shoe, hearing about a UFO that supposedly landed in the woods, seeing a cow the size of a small building, or finding out that there’s a place where ice forms during the summer. 😭 Like… who decided all of this should exist in the same state?! The thing I love about Pennsylvania is that there are SO many random little places, roadside attractions, strange landmarks, and pieces of local history that you would probably never know about unless you went looking for them. And honestly, I think these are some of the most fun places to visit because they make the best “wait… WHAT is that?” stops on a road trip. 😂 You don’t always need a huge itinerary or an expensive weekend getaway. Sometimes you just need a tank of gas, a free afternoon, and a willingness to drive somewhere because you saw a picture of something completely ridiculous on the internet. So I’m officially adding “visit the weirdest places in Pennsylvania” to the PA bucket list. 👀 Which one of these did you already know about — and which one made you say “there is NO way that’s real”? And if you know another weird Pennsylvania place I NEED to know about, drop it in the comments because I might have to make a part 2. 👇🏻 #pennsylvania #thingstodoinpa #pennsylvaniatravel #paplaces #paweekendgetaways

The shoe house used to be open to the public. We would go there for ice cream when we were kids.

Omg, I lived in Va and we would go to my grandparents house and we went by this shoe house. This was in the late 60’s early 70’s. I thought that was the coolest thing to see. I need to take my granddaughter.
