I’m terrified. No family, divorced, no children, no way to get ahead, trauma and cults that preyed on me have left me on the margin of homelessness for the remainder of my life. But me? I’m really happy about who I became and I’m healthier than ever. Alone most of the time, but that’s ok when you love yourself!

My husband is a very disabled Navy veteran and he has more monsters than even he can count. He boxed them away and put them on a shelf because he never wants to face them. He’s been hospitalized over two dozen times in the last decade for his PTSD depression and everything that comes along with that. Thank you for this insight. I plan on using it as his caregiver. Thank you.

Consider doing EMDR trauma therapy. You don’t forget what happened but it diminishes triggers and allows space to truly heal.. best to you. I really appreciate your very human posts.

My dad was a Vietnam veteran (Marine sniper). He passed away in January and I’m struggling with this huge loss, and the finality of what was lost long before his physical death. Watching this video has me in uncontrollable tears because I swear, it feels like he used you to speak to me. I heard every word you said in his voice. He tried so hard to get rid of the monsters - I know he did, but they just wouldn’t leave. They stole so much from our relationship and the life we should have had. I love and miss him so much, and your video was the hug I needed. Thank you.
