【1300年の伝統を今に継ぐ──江﨑鵜匠と宇治川の鵜飼】 宇治川の夏の風物詩、「鵜飼（うかい）」。

その伝統を受け継ぎ、鵜と心を通わせながら漁を行うのが、江﨑鵜匠（えざきうしょう）です。 

代々に渡って技を継承してきた江崎家。 鵜との呼吸、かがり火の灯り、水面に響く船の音──
初めて鵜飼を見る方にも、その静かな迫力と、自然と人が調和する美しさが伝わることでしょう。
 漁のために訓練された鵜は、ただの道具ではなく「相棒」。
江﨑鵜匠の動き一つで、鵜は水中を泳ぎ、魚をくわえて戻ってくる。 
その一連の流れは、まるで舞のように優雅で、心を打たれます。
 今宵、1300年の歴史を感じながら、伝統と自然、そして技が織りなす宇治川の夜を体感してみませんか？

At the heart of this tradition stands Usho Ezaki, a master fisherman who continues the legacy passed down through generations.
With the flickering light of fire torches and the silent flow of the river, Ezaki and his trained cormorants work in perfect harmony. Even first-time visitors can feel the quiet power and grace of this historic performance. These birds are not tools — they are trusted partners.
With each subtle movement of the usho, the birds dive into the river, skillfully catching fish and returning.
The entire scene resembles a graceful dance between man and nature, leaving a deep impression on all who watch. Come and witness a living piece of Japanese history.
