@science.nature: A billionaire just said he can control Earth's temperature from space 🚀 Elon Musk proposed a giant AI controlled satellite network that could shade the sun just enough to slow global warming. He says a solar powered AI satellite constellation could make tiny constant adjustments to how much sunlight reaches Earth. Scientists call this solar geoengineering and warn it could disrupt rainfall, weaken the ozone layer, and shift farming patterns worldwide 🌍 Researchers from Columbia Climate School and Yale Environment Review say we do not fully understand these risks yet. It feels strange trusting a machine to control the temperature of the only home we have 💫 If AI can shade the sun, who really decides how much shade is enough. 📌Sources: Elon Musk (X post, November 2025), Columbia Climate School, Yale Environment Review
