your rejection of presentism (in this context) is valid. but your argument fails because it confuses an unchanging moral principle with a changing human context. Objective morality means that the underlying ethical values such as justice and avoiding harm and requiring developmental maturity for marriage are mind-independent and constant. it does not mean that human biology and life expectancy and social structures remain stagnant across millennia. in the seventh century reaching puberty objectively marked the transition into full biological and societal adulthood across global civilisations meaning the marriage met the timeless moral standard of marrying a consenting adult. the moral standard hasn’t changed. What has changed is the objective baseline of human development and what constitutes a child has evolved over time. therefore a Muslim can reject modern child marriage as objectively harmful today while maintaining that Muhammad perfectly upheld the unchanging principles of justice within the objective reality of his own era

You guys should look up Muhammad’s other wives, Aisha isn’t the only problematic ones. He married his adoptive son ex wife and in doing so changed the adoption laws in Islam. Maria al-Qibtiyya who he was offered as a concubine (slave girl), Safiyya bint Huyayy was a noblewoman from the Jewish tribe of Banu Nadir. She was captured by Muslim forces following the Battle of Khaybar in 628 CE, Rayhana bint Zayd Rayhana was a Jewish woman belonging to the Banu Nadir tribe by birth and the Banu Qurayza by marriage. She was taken as a captive in 627 CE after the siege and subsequent execution of the men of her tribe. There’s a debate on whether she remained a concubine or accepted marrying Muhammad.

also the way i see this is that the society in which Muhammad lived didn't even care about women so yeah a person getting married to a young girl would go sound because that's just how the arabs rolled in 7th century saying "but the enemies never pointed it out!!" is not a good point because of how flawed the society was when it came to women

even if back then it was "not wrong", it still doesn't justify. slavery was common back then, I don't see anyone justifying slave owners. plus I don't think a girl is going to have her first period at 9. and he betrothed to her when she was 6. what kind of sick man even looks at a little girl and think: "yeah I'm marrying that".

The reason why it’s human nature to be more mortified by a murder of a child than the murder of the adult is because the child is unaware of the dangers of this world is filled with innocence. That exact reason applies to any crimes committed to a child by an adult. Ridding the child of his/her innocence and calling it permissible because it was allowed at some point makes you question your own inherent feelings about something in the name of religion you wish to be true because you think you otherwise lose your identity.
