@garybrecka: Every time you eat, you're feeding an entire ecosystem inside your gut. Your gut microbiome plays a major role in digestion, metabolism, immune function, and the way certain nutrients and compounds from food are processed. That's why I don't think of gut health as something you only worry about when you're bloated or having digestive issues. What you consistently eat helps shape the microbial community living inside you, and that community can influence far more than digestion alone. Take care of your gut. It's doing a lot more work than you probably realize.
