if youre using the self driving feature of the car why do you need to still be upright any paying attention? waymo self driving cars dont have that and it seems unnecessary and stupid.

If Tesla is driving the vehicle do they also pay the insurance? If it malfunctions or otherwise causes an accident are they responsible for the damages?

I dont know anything about the Tesla cars so correct if Im wrong here. You buy a car with features included but they can disable the features if they dont like how you're using them. Sounds like a subscription service to me. If I buy a vehicle and they turn off any features that came with it I'm gonna accidentally total the vehicle into their headquarters and get something different.
