@waheed_alkhan: «إحساس غريب»... “A Strange Feeling” — When Friendship Gives Birth to a Song In the summer of 1983, on a night in Cairo, friendship and a shared passion for music brought together two young students: poet Abdullah Ramzan Al Nuaimi and composer Waheed Al-Khan. It was a friendship in which dreams, ideas, and reflections were shared, bringing each close to the other’s heart. That night, Waheed shared some of his innermost thoughts with his friend. They touched Abdullah deeply and stayed with him until dawn. By morning, those thoughts had blossomed into beautiful words, which he handed to Waheed, who embraced them with a flowing, unconventional melody. And so “A Strange Feeling” was born, becoming one of the songs on Al Dana Band’s 1983 album. Today, more than four decades later, the song returns with its original melody preserved and a fresh musical arrangement—carrying with it the memory of a beautiful friendship from whose warmth both words and melody were born, leaving the song as its timeless witness. #StrangeFeeling #WaheedAlKhan #ArabicMusic #RevivedClassic #timelessmusic
