@intuitionwithkatie: Additional context: to make this even more complicated - something else people forget is that the nervous system is very good at detecting what is UNFAMILIAR and what it has experienced before. So, if we take this example again, if you are someone who has a negative history with this person or someone like this person (or for example social anxiety in general) the nervous system can signal danger even when nothing is actually wrong (and that’s a case where the “intuitive” data can be off too!) and if you’re someone who, for example, has been used to chaos your whole life or chaotic people and you meet someone steady and secure, your system can also red flag it, again, even tho nothing is “wrong” This is why learning yourself is such a CRUCIAL part to intuitive development.
