@seed2spoon: I HAVE PASSION FRUIT! 🎉 A few weeks ago, I shared how gorgeous our passion flowers were and how much the bumblebees were absolutely loving them! Well, apparently they were doing a pretty good job, because I went out to check the vine and found little passion fruits growing! I’ve grown a passion vine before, but I’ve never actually gotten fruit from one, so this is completely new for me. Of course, I immediately had to start researching when they’re ready to harvest! 😂 From what I’ve learned, patience is key! Passion fruit is usually ready when it changes to its mature color and starts to wrinkle slightly. One of the easiest signs is when it naturally drops from the vine. So for now, I’m leaving these little guys right where they are and keeping an eye on them! Now I need to hear from those of you who have actually grown passion fruit before! How did you know yours was ready? What does fresh passion fruit straight from the garden taste like? And most importantly… what should I make with it if these make it all the way to harvest?! 💜 #LetsGrowTogether #PassionFruit #PassionFlower #GrowYourOwnFood #GardenLife

Wait until they fall off and then…..wait until they are wrinkled up. They will look dried out but that’s when they are sweeter

Very cool. Does it get hot where you live? I live by the ocean so mine doesn’t produce fruit. I make tea with the flowers and leaves to help me relax and sleep. It’s a nervine herb.😊
