America does not make things that last. Even in Europe things tend to last longer because America is a capitalist society, the businesses try to make you buy more so they make fragile things

Hi have a Toyota (Japanese made), Porsche & Mercedes that are over 20+ years old and all run extremely well. I also have a 1979 Ford F350: this car is very simple in its design & construction. It’s basically indestructible & completely reliable. The US did know how to make reliable trucks (the cars were always suspect) but even that has gone nowhere. MB is the same; the cars were legendary for reliability… the new ones are a joke.

Japanese cars have extremely strict inspections after a few years - if your car fails these inspections then they won't buy your car anymore
