in a way is true, it is a symbol on bonding. However many people use it for trapping many souls..that’s why many are unhappy. but also there are always 2 sides, positive and negative sides..it is always depending on the person who sees it too… I think a true love need no bonding symbols, a true symbols have been carved in their hearts, the invisible thread.. The ring is not supposed to be a spiritual anything… The ring is supposed to be the vowel that you took… And a lot of people don't wanna wear rings because they wanna be able to have that person at home and still act single. They are very few people on this earth that can actually say to anybody, "I don't need a ring to know who I belong to." If your attitude is going to be that you're imprisoning somebody else then very well you should be in a relationship at all. If you can't handle good times and bad times and you have to deliberately use a tactic like this to keep from arguing or acknowledging toxic behavior, that's not a marriage. That's nonsense disguised just togetherness.

We were broken up. He came back and proposed without a ring. I said yes because I believed in us. A week later I discovered that there is another woman. He was still seeing her after he proposed. In his defense he said we were broken up when he met her. But he continued seeing her even after he proposed. So the engagement didn’t mean commitment. And no ring meant it was just a facade. Its called "commitment " because you are going to pool your resources, time amd ideas together, and are legally responsible for both assets & debt, not to mention children... and a good percentage of the population have no mental strength to commit to things .
