I have Barrett’s and also have been on omoperzole for over 20 years. Is it okay to stay on that medication for that long? I hear so many negative things about it. And yet I’ve been told I really need to be continuing it.

Figure out why it does that, is the sphincter malfunctioning? I had a scope and was diagnosed with acid reflux. I don’t have reflux that I notice.. .

If you have Barretts get a scope more often than recommended. Esophageal cancer is lethal. My husband died 3 weeks after diagnosis.

And I did have a scope over 10 years ago. This is 2026. Thank you. It’s as MIKE email address and the top of my stomach hurts it’s been like that ever since I’ve been to the G.I. doctor that’s what it raises. I went to the G.I. doctor in the first place I guess the upper is where I want to be murdered the room and they said it was OK. It’s just your stomach you’re not progressing that would before I wanted a Jiggy doctor 10 years ago [email protected]

I had stage 4 erosive esophagitis BECAUSE I was concerned about my 20 year use of omeprazole and stopped it cold turkey and started using baking soda in water. 🫣 That’s when I developed the stage 4. I went back to the omeprazole. I’m all better now.

Is there another test that they could do besides that scope? The doctor I went to was a fucking moron it was about Maybe over 10 years ago so is there another doctor I could go to another Connor doctor or even the same doctor that could do a different test to check your stomach.

PPI aren't supposed to be used long term. They have been in multiple class action lawsuits and many were settled monetarily. The drugs deplete important vitamins in your body, including calcium. I'm not taking them. Went holistic and doing well.
